This is the latest addtion to our Exotic Solid collection, known as Teca in Brazil, it comes from a tree called Tectona Grandis. This hardwood presents natural characteristcs such as thin minieral streaks, filled knots and unique grain patterns. These features gives to this particular wood a similar look to Acacia, with collors ranging from golden or medium brown to deep chocolate browns.It also has great natural durability with medium density as it has oiliness typical of its existence and also the presence of silica, which helps it last for many years. Among all the characteristics of Teak wood, the one responsible for its popularity is its resistance to humidity and it has considerable dimensional stability. The wood is also resistant to attacks of fungi and insects.
